This beautiful house in the fan district of Richmond, Virginia was in desperate need of a kitchen and breakfast nook renovation which would create a space that would honor the quality and character of the home and still bring all the functionality needed for a 21st Century kitchen. Drab, dark and dreary, the original kitchen had black trim with orange walls and the cabinetry lay out was not efficient for cooking, entertainment or storage. We redesigned the new soft gray custom cabinetry to maximize the space so that cooking and entertaining would be easier and more fun. Additionally, a much needed lighting design included recessed lighting, undercabinet lighting and two new chandeliers. The new panelled appliances, quartizite countertops, soft gray walls,  with white dove trim and brushed gold hardware created an enchanting kitchen that is not only a lovely addition to this historic home, but will be a delight for this couple to enjoy for many years.
